Cute Table Decorations

So I was planning my unit Christmas party and wanted to have something at each persons seat at our table...and I was going through my closet and found these cute little jars.  Yes, I had about 20 of them.  DANG!  lol  So in an effort to use what I have, I pulled them out, added a little ribbon around the lid, put a Cricut shape on it with a cute little stamped snowman (C1506 Flakey Friends).  TADA!  Not only did I use what I have, but they are STINKIN CUTE!!

How Many Days Until Christmas?

Here is a fun little sign you can make with your current craft supplies!

I just took a piece of New England Ivy & Cranberry cardstock, stamped "days until Christmas" in white ink.  Added a stamped tree and santa and put it on an easel.  Oh and I cut a piece of black cardstock and wrote with chalk on the cardstock.

Easy!!  And yes, the 31 days is wrong...there are only 15 days!  EEK!  Time to get crafting!!!

Make Your Own tags

It's that time of the year when we need to start wrapping our presents and why not make your own tags?
I was doing that last week and couldn't find my store bought tags...you know the semi cute ones that are self adhesive.  So I thought...oh darn!  I need to run to the store.  BUT, then it came to me...just make some!!
I was going to cute some out with the Cricut cartridge, but decided I wanted these.  So I stamped the rectangle in Cranberry all over a sheet of white cardstock.  Then I took this cute santa (D1494 Christmas Cheer) There is also a cute elf, trees, present, snowflakes and a tag (that I didn't use)  lol.  Love this set.

I took a post it note and covered the bottom of the tag and stamped it.

Here they are all stamped

I grabbed our markers and off I went...coloring!  Now this whole process took about 30 - 45 minutes, however, I cut them all out when I was on hold and talking to people on the phone...YEA!

And here is the finished tag.  I attached them to the packages with red washi tape!  So fun and SO CUTE!
So remember, get your scrapbooking & stamping supplies out and make your own!

Cute & Quick Gifts!

It's the season for needing quick and easy gifts for those teachers, co-workers, neighbors etc.  So I created a few quick gifts.  This one is so cute...I took a cleaned out peanut butter jar and I put licorice in it, wrapped the purple lid with washi tape, added a black circle out of cardstock.

Then I took some black and white cardstock wrapped the jar and added a "buckle".  Added a tag and some bakers twine that I had left over from a project (wanting to use it all!), stamped a tag and I am good to go!!  YEA!!

How cute is this jar!!

Santa Chocolate

I thought these Santa chocolate bars were fun and easy.  I just took a flat candy bar, wrapped Cranberry cardstock around them, embossed on the "trim", added a belt and good to go.

The ones standing up are done with a smaller candy bar.  The ones on the bottom are done with a bigger candy bar.  I think I like those better.  LOL

These make GREAT gifts for co workers, teachers, neighbors or friends.  Give them a try!

Life Going Too Fast?

Does it seem like life is going to fast to scrapbook?  We have filled our life with so many things that it is important to make sure that we have documented our important events in our life.
So last week, I jumped on Studioj.com and created some layouts.

These layouts go FAST!  You can add as much or as little as you want.  You can choose from our Express Collection or Customize your Own layouts.
Then you just upload your photos, pick a paper pack (kit), pick a pattern and start creating!  It's that easy!
What I REALLY love about this is that you don't have to print your pictures or even have the correct size.  You simply drop it in the photo area and then you can resize it or move the photo to get just the right shot.  LOVE IT!

And now the pictures are DONE!  I double checked everything and clicked purchase and DONE!  Within 5 minutes the jpegs arrived in my in box and I can now put them on my blog...like this.  The actual layouts come in the mail within 10 days, but I can share these with anyone NOW.

If you would like to check these out, simply go to my website and click on the Studio J tab.  You will need to set up an account (if you don't have one) and go play!  It doesn't cost you anything unless you want to purchase the layouts.  Check it out!  I think you are going to like what you see!

More Halloween Ideas

I have been busy creating fun things for Halloween.  Here is our (Close to my Heart) cupcake box.  I saw this one at our convention and had to recreate it and make it my own.  I put a battery operated candle in it.  Too cute!

Then this is a box of chocolate covered raisins...and I made a BIG bat card from the Artiste cartridge...and I made it "hug" the box.  I love this idea.  It came from Michelle Snyder.

So get creating and using your supplies!!!

Close to my Heart's NEW Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge

I have finally had a chance to play with our NEW Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge!  It is soooo fun!
I recently held a 3 day weekend with my downline and thanks to one of them (Brenda Thacker) I was able to stamp lift and learn a little more about using it!!  HOW FUN ARE THESE!!

This haunted house is on page 44.  I also added the ghost to the font and honey cardstock behind the windows and tada!  I am also going to make this into a scrapbook layout...stay tuned!

Here's another card.  It is on page 43.  Then look below...that is the inside!

WOWSA...All these cards are in layers.  So I cut out the tree, cut out the purple piece and then cut out the haunted house.  This is a pop up card.  Very fun!

Then this card page 44. It cuts out the bags..and I then backed that piece with black to make them stand out, added a spider web from page 43...then the Eat, Drink And be Scary is from page 44.  I backed it with our Purple shimmer trim.

Here is an EASY one.  It is from page 44.  It cuts out the candy corn kissed and then I just backed it with colors of a candy corn.  AND, I also colored our black ribbon on these too.  I am LOVING our markers to color our ribbon!!  It gives me the ribbon color I want, without having to purchase a TON or ribbon.  YEA!

It's time to get your cartridge and start creating!!!
