Make Your Own Paper!

Have you ever needed a certain paper for your layouts and you just don't have it?  Think about MAKING your own paper...then it is JUST what you need, the colors you need and you don't have to buy too much "extras"!  I like to use what I have.

This is the PERFECT example.  I made this layout for my downlines.  We have our convention at Disneyland and we are doing the UP theme.  From Disney Pixar's UP.  So I knew I wanted to have balloons all over it and I knew I wanted it to be Mickey ish...so I took our Artiste Cricut Cartridge, cut out the balloons, used the coordinating balloon stamp and TADA!  I also added some little black circle for Mickey's ears.  How cute is that!!!

Oh and the colors...our team colors are lagoon and pear (blue and green) so I was able to combine all these things together for a great custom layout...but I used everything that I had!!  I didn't have to run out and get Disney themed paper!  How fun is that!

Graduation Gift

A sweet friend of ours has a daughter that graduated in May...here is the little package I made for her.

She is going to BYU Hawaii, so I thought I would decorate it accordingly.  I used discontinued products...she isn't going to care and I get it used up.

I stamped a little card for the inside and grabbed my discontinued bakers twine and started to roll dollar bills!

I filled the box.  Now, it took a while to roll them all and it will probably take her a while to UN roll all of them and she will have curly bills, BUT, it will be so fun for her.  LOL

Think about doing this for other things besides graduations.  I can see doing it for birthdays too...roll as many as they are old.  How fun would that be?  Hmmm...might be a good tradition to start for grandkids!  Now I just need those grandkids!  LOL
Grab your stash and use it up!

4th of July Layouts

Everything is snap, crackle and pop out there!!  And I am ready!  I made these 2 layouts using products that I have.  The left side of this layout is using our Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I cut the stars out of Outdoor Denim cardstock and put it over a piece of white...matted the whole thing with Cranberry. On the right side I just used a pice of cranberry cardstock and put white stripes down.  EASY!

This layout I used one of our stamp sets and stamped all over white cardstock and done.  Now I am ready for all those firework pictures!!

Here is a picture of the cardstock stamped

July Stamp of the Month and Jackson Paper Pack

It's July and it's time for the July Stamp of the month!  YEA!  Here is a layout I created using the July stamp of the month.  (see the Life is wonderful and arrows) I used our Jackson paper pack and some pictures from a recent trip to South Dakota.

Below is a close up of the Life is Wonderful (stamp of the month).

Here you will see my clouds.  LOVE THEM!  I used the Close to my Heart Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to cut out the clouds.  Then I sponged the clouds with Slate stamp pad (grey) because it was raining all day, but we didn't care! We put on our raincoats and off we went!

AND, I had to add some raindrops to my clouds!  LOL  These are from our Junebug Puffies.  So fun. So if you have pictures outdoors in the rain, make sure you add clouds and rain drops to your layout!!
